Want to know how to make a movie that really kicks? Have a desire to turn a school project into something special that doesn't involve poster paper...?

If you're a teacher, or a student in Year 9 or above, here's where it's at!

You are being offered the opportunity to spend a day making movies, with experts from Apple on-hand to guide you through the process. You could be making stop motion or straight video.

Throughout the day you will be using iMovie, Garageband, Photobooth and perhaps even Comic Life, to create a cinematic masterpiece!

Hosted by Coburg Senior High School, the one day program will have you using iMacs, Macbooks or DV cameras to shoot footage that can be edited, and transformed in the post-production phase into something brilliant.

Sessions start at 9am and finish at 4:30pm, combining elements such as:
  • Basic film techniques
  • Storyboarding and idea development
  • Shooting footage
  • Editing
  • Screening of your movie
Costs for the day are a miserly $25 which includes a light lunch. Why such a bargain? 'Cause we want you to get excited about creative film making and you need to focus on finishing the day with a complete product. Additional inspiration via a hot chocolate, capuccino and lattes and the like will be available at the Café throughout the day, so bring some folding. (that's money!)

The teacher workshop will run on Monday September 24th. Students have a choice of Tuesday September 25th or Wednesday September 26th.

Online registration makes its easy to register your place, so click on the link and complete the registration.

See you in the first week of the school holidays!
